Method

Method, and what would make this wrong

The judgement calls are here rather than buried, including the one place this measurement disagrees with the reporting it is arguing with.

A ticker is not an identity

Robinhood Chain carries several ERC-20s whose symbol is exactly NVDA. One is the real tokenized share; another is a memecoin with 705 holders and a supply of 1e29. The name is no safer: HOODRAT calls itself “Hoodrat · Robinhood Token” and has 5,199 holders. Both filters are needed — the name suffix and an icon served by Robinhood's own CDN, which is the part an impostor cannot forge. The resulting set is committed to data/stock-tokens.json, with every rejected token and the reason listed beside it, so the classification can be audited rather than trusted.

Where the line is drawn

A pool is counted as real when the other side is money — WETH, USDG, USDe — or another tokenized stock, because somebody is taking or shedding equity exposure. It is counted as memecoin collateral when the other side is a long-tail token. That is a judgement, it is the only one on this site, and it is stated here rather than buried.

What it does not cover

Swaps in the one Uniswap V3 factory that emits ~96% of this chain's pools. Transfers that are not swaps, other venues, and any pool from a different factory are outside it — which is why the on-chain total here sits below the explorer's own 24-hour figure rather than matching it. Both numbers are shown so the gap is visible instead of assumed away.

The number moves, a lot

Tokenized stocks barely traded on this chain until 21 July — before that the whole category did tens of dollars a day. Volume then went from nothing to $35.7M in four days. Memecoin collateral peaked on 27 July at 18.6% of that day, and has run between 1% and 3% since. Any single day quoted on its own, including the one on the front page, is a snapshot of something moving fast. That is why the series is the headline and the percentage is not.

Where this disagrees with the reporting

The widely-quoted $29.7M/day that put this chain past Solana reproduces here almost exactly — 23 July measures $29.0M, 24 July $35.7M. The memecoin figure does not. One report put memecoin × stock pairs at $46.1M on 23 July; this measures $532k of stock moving through memecoin pools that day, against $29.0M total. A figure larger than the entire day's stock volume cannot be stock-side value, so the two are counting different things — most likely the memecoins' own trading rather than the shares in their pools. Stated rather than reconciled away, because only one of the two definitions is written down.
